It is expected that conversion of the Westport and Carrowholly exchange areas will be effected about the end of next May, followed quickly by Achill Sound, Currane and Foxford. During the second half of this year it is expected that conversion of the following exchange areas will be completed:— Bekan Cross, Brickens, Carrowmore-lacken, Killala, Mulrany and Swinford. Conversion of the then remaining 44 manual exchanges in County Mayo will be carried out progressively during next year.
