Vol. 340 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

214.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named. Arrangements are being made for the early payment of the house improvement grant approved in this case.

215.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will have a new house grant paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A recent inspection of this house revealed that it was not complete. A further inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of the grant when the applicant informs my Department that the outstanding works have been completed. When the grant has been paid, and the applicant submits the relevant claim form, arrangements will be made for payment of the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy, if in order.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant was so informed.

217.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant has been so informed.
