asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be restored for a person (details supplied) in Dublin; and if this will be attended to as a matter of urgency having regard to the fact that this subscriber has been deprived of service for almost three months.

Service was withdrawn for a period in December due to non-payment of the account. Subsequent to reconnection of service a fault was reported on 10 February 1983. Service will be restored within a week or so.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when an automatic exchange will be provided in Enfield, County Meath, as this contract was to be completed on 1 November last.

It is expected that automatic service will be provided at Enfield in about three months. The change-over is dependent on the prior introduction to service of a major new digital trunk switching exchange at Dublin (Adelaide Road) which is taking longer to commission than was anticipated when the previous forecast for conversion of Enfield was given.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a public telephone kiosk will be erected at Direendraugh, near Blackwater Post Office, County Kerry.

The provision of a kiosk at this location is not considered warranted at present and it is not proposed therefore to provide one there.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when his Department intend to provide a public telephone kiosk for the residents of Saint Patrick's Park, Tullow, County Carlow.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the application has been made for some time.

Terms have been quoted to the person named and service will be provided within about three months after the necessary agreement has been signed.

It is expected that service will be provided during the second half of this year.

I am not aware of an overcharge. The subscriber has not raised any query about it.

The subscriber's complaints refer to metered calls going back over a considerable period. Her meter has been checked and found to be in good working order. The matter will be discussed with the subscriber within the next few days.

It is expected that service will be provided for the person named, who paid his deposit in December 1982, within about a month.

It has not been possible to provide service at the address quoted so far because of the large volume of engineering work on hands and requiring attention in the 01 area.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be restored to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3 who is on disability pension; and if he is aware that she lives alone and has been without service since 14 January last.

Service will be restored within a week or so.
