In November of last year my Department approved the provision of a new surgical unit at the General Hospital, Wexford. The proposed new unit will consist of two new theatres and ancillary facilities, together with two ward blocks and accommodation for X-ray and casualty services.
At present a project team are preparing a brief for the development which is estimated to cost approximately £6.5 million.
