asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the building of a new vocational school at Enniscorthy, County Wexford.

asked the Minister for Education if there are any proposals to sanction a regional technical college for County Wexford.

I am aware of the case made by local interests to my predecessors in regard to the provision of a regional technical college in Wexford.

In the context of the current economic situation, it will be necessary to examine carefully all proposals involving future financial commitments. During the course of 1983 a careful study will be made in regard to the needs of the situation in relation to third level education facilities and priorities established as far as possible between competing claims.
