: The provision of a new girl's secondary school in Swords has been approved in principle by my Department, following an application by the diocesan authorities. It is understood that the Loreto Sisters may be involved jointly with the diocesan authorities in the administration of the school.
My Department await formal submission of preliminary design proposals by the diocesan authorities.
My Department have not been informed of any discussions which may have taken place between the school authorities and the teaching staff of Loreto College, North Great George's Street.
