asked the Minister for Education the location of schools in County Donegal which are due for (a) replacement, (b) extension and (c) renovation during 1983.

The information requested by the Deputy is given in the form of a tabular statement which will be circulated with the Official Report.
Following is the statement:
National School Building Programme in Co. Donegal.
(1) Projects in progress:
New Schools at Cockhill; Culdaff; Kilbarron; Moyle Castle; Newtowncunningham; Muff; Killaghtee.
Extensions (including Renovation) at St. Eunan's; Raphoe; St. Joseph's, Ballyshannon; Mountcharles; Convoy Joint; Lurgybrack; Glenswilly; Castlefin.
It is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that above contracts are due for completion in 1983 with the exception of those for Muff, Cockhill, Newtowncunningham and Killaghtee.
(2) Tenders for the following projects are under consideration by the Commissioners of Public Works:
New school: St. Theresa's, Malin.
Extensions: Carrowcannon; Derry-beg; Rathmullen.
It is probable that building work on these projects will commence in 1983.
(3) The following projects are at an advanced stage of planning. It is not possible to state when building work may commence but it is probable that some projects will reach that stage in 1983.
New schools at Barnesmore; Drung; Kilclooney; Tooban; Carndonagh (Girl's school); Kilmacrennan.
Extensions: At Cashel and Creavy.
