asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received the report on the extension of postal voting; and the proposals accepted by the Government.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 457 and 458 together. A working party was set up by the Minister for the Environment in June 1982 to examine and make recommendations on, among other things, a scheme of postal voting for disabled persons and others who may be unable to vote in person at an election. The report of the working party was published recently and I am giving detailed consideration to the recommendations contained in the report with a view to bringing forward proposals as soon as possible.
