asked the Minister for Agriculture when a grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

The local office of the Department has not yet been notified by the applicant that the work has been completed. When notification is received, a final inspection will be carried out and if the work is satisfactorily completed and, provided that the other conditions of the scheme have been complied with, the grant will be paid without delay.

750.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a farm modernisation scheme grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

As announced in the budget, grants under the farm modernisation scheme for buildings and fixed assets have been suspended until later in the year. As approval had not issued in this case before the suspension came into effect on 10 February 1983, the application cannot be processed further. The applicant has been notified accordingly.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when grants under the farm development scheme and the western drainage scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

There is no grant outstanding in this case under the farm modernisation scheme. An approval under the western drainage scheme issued on 30 October 1980. The local farm development service office has not yet been notified that the work has been finalised. When notification is received an inspection will be carried out with a view to certification of the work for payment of the grant. The final date for completion of the works has been extended from 30 June 1983 to 30 September 1983.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will pay approximately £2,000 for the first part of work which has been completed under the farm modernisation scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Galway who was informed by an official of his Department that such grants would be paid in stages.

There is no record of an application for grant aid under the farm modernisation scheme from the person mentioned.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry has not received payment of a grant in respect of three reactors.

No grant can be paid until the local district veterinary office receives confirmation of receipt of the animals for slaughter from the factory to which the animals were sent by the person named.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a cow suckler grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person named was deemed ineligible under the 1981 EEC Suckler Cow Premium Scheme as his 1981 off-farm income exceeded his on-farm income. His eligibility under the 1982 scheme will be decided when an investigation now in train into his 1982 off-farm income is completed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in paying a grant in respect of reactors to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Grants of £2,430 under the brucellosis eradication scheme and £1,300 from the hardship fund were paid to the person named, on 23 May and 3 June 1983, respectively.

757.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a sheep headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

The person named will be paid his sheep headage grant under the 1982 disadvantaged areas schemes shortly.
