Vol. 343 No. 7

Written Answers. - St. Bricin's Hospital (Dublin) Dispute.

636.

asked the Minister for Defence the present position regarding the threatened strike action by ancillary staff at St. Bricin's military hospital, Infirmary Road, Dublin; and if his Department will pay the outstanding claim for pay parity with the Eastern Health Board.

I am not aware of any threatened strike action by ancillary staff at St. Bricin's Military Hospital, Infirmary Road, Dublin. However, arising from a claim on behalf of maids, wardsmaids and cook employed at the hospital for payment of a travelling allowance their union indicated that its members had entered into a trade dispute with the Department. The claim has since been further considered and an offer made to the union.
