From the time the company to which the Deputy refers was established in 1980 to 31 December 1981 the total amount of assistance paid to it by the IDA was £196,056. I am advised that no other funds have been provided for the company in that period or since by my Department or any State agency for which I have responsibility other than the IDA. This sum was made up of a number of payments as follows:

Details of any assistance paid by the IDA to the company in 1982 or to date in 1983 will be indicated in the IDA's annual reports for 1982 and 1983. The IDA's annual report for 1982 is expected to be published shortly. The Deputy will appreciate that it is not the practice to give details of grant payments to firms by the IDA in advance of the publication of such details in the IDA's annual report.
