asked the Minister for Social Welfare when the proposed employment exchange for central Tallaght, County Dublin, will be provided.
It is proposed to take Questions Nos. 410 and 419 together.
Pending the development of the proposed new Tallaght town centre, which includes plans for a full employment exchange service for the Tallaght area, it is proposed to provide a temporary employment exchange in premises located at Old Bawn Road, Tallaght. A considerable amount of work is required to make the premises suitable for use as an exchange and present indications are that it will be the middle of next year before the temporary employment exchange will be operational.
As regards Clondalkin, my Department are considering the provision of an employment exchange to serve that area in the context of the proposed development of a town centre in the Clondalkin—Lucan area.
