asked the Minister for Education when work is likely to commence on the construction of an extension to St. Annin's National School, Rosscahill, County Galway; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

It is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that working drawings for the extension to St. Annin's national school, Rosscahill, County Galway are being prepared at present.

It would not be possible to say at this stage when building work may commence.

asked the Minister for Education when she proposes to commence the building of the new secondary school at Woodford, Loughrea, County Galway.

The feasibility report submitted by the school authorities of Our Lady of Mercy College, Woodford, Loughrea, County Galway, on the provision of a new school on a new site compared with a new school on the existing site, is currently being evaluated in the Department. When this evaluation is completed and agreement reached on the proposed building project, arrangements will be made to initiate the architectural planning.

It is not possible at this early stage of planning to say when construction will commence.

asked the Minister for Education the reasons for the long delay in building the new extension to Creagh national school, Ballinasloe, County Galway; and the date on which it will commence.

It is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that their office is completing the examination of tenders for the new extension to Creagh national school, Ballinasloe, County Galway, and they expect to forward their recommendations to my Department in the near future. It is not possible at this stage to state when work on the project may commence.
