My Department in January 1981 sanctioned a grant towards the cost of installing a heating system in Stoneyford national school, County Kilkenny. Payment of this grant is a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works. I understand that a balance of grant remains unpaid pending inspection of some works which had been outstanding. A report has also been received from the commissioners regarding improvements carried out to the playspace at the school. The question of allowing a grant towards the cost of the improvements is being considered in my department at present.
