Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible.

237.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying a new house grant of £1,000 to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

There has been no undue delay in my Department in dealing with this case. The grant will be paid as soon as possible.

238.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in processing a mortgage subsidy application in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath as he has submitted two forms and two marriage certificates.

Any delay in processing this application is due to the failure of the applicant to submit a copy of his marriage certificate. There is no record in my Department of the receipt of this document and one application only in respect of the mortgage subsidy has been received. The second form was an application for grant which was paid in April last.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding an inspection for a £1,000 grant for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath as he applied three months ago.

The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding the payment of a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

Payment of the mortgage subsidy will be made when the person named submits his claim form completed and certified by his lending agency.

241.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding the payment of a £1,000 house grant and a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible. Payment of the subsidy cannot commence until the grant has been paid.
