The Department of Education approved an extension to Milltown national school, County Galway, in July 1983. The extension will comprise four new classrooms and the conversion of two existing rooms into a general purposes room. The plans will allow for an additional classroom, if necessary, on the assumption that an extension to the existing site will become available.

The preparation of a sketch scheme to provide an extension to Fohenagh national school, County Galway, will be undertaken within the next few weeks. It is too early to say when building work is likely to start.
