asked the Minister for Education the reasons a computer had not been granted to a college (details supplied) in County Galway; if she will direct her Department to provide one now; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - County Galway School Computer.
453.
The number of applications received from schools for the supply of micro-computers in 1981 exceeded the number for which provision could be made in that year. It was, accordingly, necessary to establish a priority list of schools. It was not possible to include the school referred to in the question from the Deputy in the list of schools to which a micro-computer was supplied.
The application from this school will be further considered in connection with any future arrangements for the supply of micro-computers to schools which have not already received one.
