asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the position with regard to an offer of 25 acres made to his Department by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick for afforestation purposes; if he is aware that even though he has made several inquiries with regard to this offer he has heard nothing regarding the offer; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 402 and 403 together.
These two relatively small properties have been inspected and are considered suitable for afforestation but it has not been possible to accommodate them in the land purchase programme for the current year. However, both offers are being kept under review and the owners have been advised accordingly.
