Vol. 352 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Kerry School.

406.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in giving approval to the lowest tender received for the national school extension in Ballyduff, County Kerry; and when approval will be given.

The proposed extension to Ballyduff national school, County Kerry, is in the hands of a team of consultants in private practice who have been engaged by the manager of the school. On 5 June 1984 the Office of Public Works received the tender recommendations which had been prepared by the manager's design team. These recommendations are being examined in the normal way and there is no question of any delay. It will be necessary to consult with the Department of Education before the manager can be authorised to accept a tender and it is expected that a decision will be given within a month.
