A modified development scheme for Darby's Point is at present being examined by my Department. Pending completion of this examination and receipt in due course of a report and cost estimate from the Office of Public Works of the improvement works involved, I am not in a position to say what financial assistance may be granted from the Fisheries Vote towards the project. I would like to assure the Deputy that I will do everything possible to have a decision in the matter at the earliest possible date.
