Any loss through fraud would have to be noted in the Appropriation Accounts. The only such loss noted in the Appropriation Accounts for the years referred to is one of £69,448 in the 1981 account. This relates to a fraud which occurred in 1975 under the cattle feed voucher scheme and in respect of which a person who was not an officer of my Department, was convicted and sentenced.
