The mortgage subsidy has not been refused in this case. An application form for the subsidy was forwarded to the applicant on 13 November 1984 and has not yet been returned to my Department.

This grant will be paid as soon as possible.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

A new house grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house is completed and occupied and complies with all other conditions governing the grant scheme. The file is at present with my Department's inspector for investigation and report.

599.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason an old reconstruction grant under the old scheme was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

A grant cannot be paid in this case because, contrary to the Housing Regulations, 1980 (as amended), notification of completion of work and a claim for payment of the grant were not received in my Department by 30 June 1981.
