Limerick East): The Garda records in this case indicate that in February 1977 a letter was received from a firm of solicitors acting on behalf of the person concerned complaining of alleged ill-treatment. The complaint was of a general nature and did not refer to any individual member of the Garda Síochána. The solicitors undertook to furnish detailed particulars of the grounds of complaint but this was never done nor was anything further heard from the solicitor or from the person concerned in relation to the matter.
