My Department approved a proposal submitted by Cork County Council in 1983 to construct a reservoir to improve the water supply to Clogheen and Blarney Road and the necessary capital was provided in the allocation to the council. Difficulties arose on the acquisition of the necessary site and this has delayed the implementation of the proposal. I understand, however, that these difficulties have recently been resolved and this will allow the council to include the scheme in the programme which they propose to carry out in 1985.
