The person concerned is a landholder who does not satisfy the contribution condition of 78 paid contributions in a three year period. His entitlement to unemployment benefit could not be determined until inquiries to ascertain whether the income from his holding exceeded £2 daily. These inquiries were recently completed and as the income from his holding exceeded £2 daily his unemployment benefit claim was disallowed. He has been notified of the decision and of his right to appeal and to have his case determined by an appeals officer.
