Under the conditions of the farm modernisation scheme the work in this case had to be completed by a specific date. As this condition was not met a reduced rate of grant was paid.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid a £70 in-calf heifer scheme grant.
All the heifers on which the person named claimed grants had not calved at the date of inspection last August. He has since notified my Department that all heifers have calved and a second inspection will be necessary to verify this. If the application is then found to be in order, payment will be arranged as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if arrangements have yet been made for the payment of a sheep subsidy in respect of 1984 to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.
The person named was paid ewe premium for the 1983-84 EC marketing year but my Department is unable to trace any application from him for sheep headage under the 1984 disadvantaged areas schemes.
