asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of applications for grant aid; the number of approvals given; and the number of actual settlements under Part 1 and Part 2 of the land improvement scheme for the less favoured areas with particular reference to the Connemara area of County Galway.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 239 and 340 together.
The information is in the form of a tabular statement which I propose to circulate in the Official Report. Statistics relating to the Connemara area are not readily identifiable and the cost involved in extracting this information would not be justified.
