The question of making additional funds available this year by way of further grants to this vocational education committee and others is at present receiving urgent consideration in my Department and the committees concerned will be notified of my decision at a very early date. Pending that decision, I authorised the County Dublin committee on 13 November last to transfer, as proposed, a surplus sum of £49,087 from another subhead to the scholarship subhead to enable payments to be made to scholarship holders.
