I agree with the Deputy as to the significance of the Louth/Meath area as a potato-growing region, and I am sure that this is well-recognised by the IDA. However, the location of any particular project is primarily a matter, not for the IDA, but for the promoters of that project. The IDA is, of course, prepared to consider providing assistance for any food processing project — including a potato-processing one as envisaged by the Deputy — provided the promoters can demonstrate that a viable operation can be established.
