asked the Minister for Communications the reason the centenary of the birth of the great Irish inventor Harry Ferguson was not commemorated by the issue of a stamp or in some other appropriate way.

A special stamp was issued in the Irish science and technology series in 1981 in recognition of the work of Harry Ferguson. The stamp depicted the Ferguson tractor and carried a portrait of the inventor.
