I propose to take Questions Nos. 405 and 406 together.
The position is as set out in par. 2.55 of the national plan, Building on Reality where it was stated that the future development of the industry was being examined in the context of the report of the Sectoral Development Committee on the Fishing and Aquaculture Industry and that a policy white paper on the development of the industry would be issued at an early date. The recommendations of the Sectoral Consultative Committee on Fisheries were taken into account by the sectoral development committee when drawing up their report.
