The capital expenditure proposals contained in the national plan include provision for the replacement of the surgical unit at Wexford General Hospital. This project is now at an advanced stage of planning and the necessary site works have already been carried out.
I am at present reviewing the health capital programme for the next three years and the precise timing of the Wexford project must await the outcome of that review.
