The number of persons on the live register at each local employment office in Dublin city and county on 25 January 1985 was as follows: Werburgh Street, 17,533; Victoria Street, 4,266; Gardiner Street, 14,487; North Cumberland Street, 14,283; Townsend Street, 2,656; Navan Road, 6,270; Thomas Street, 5,818; Dún Laoghaire, 6,274; Balbriggan, 1,611.
It is not possible to allocate persons registered as unemployed at these offices to the Dublin South constituency.
