Dairying has in recent years been among the more remunerative of farm enterprises. The future prospects for dairy farmers, including small farmers, will obviously depend on the level of EC price increases. However, the extent to which we achieve greater efficiency at farm, processing and marketing levels will also have a major impact on producer returns.
