My Department in August last sanctioned a grant towards the cost of the proposed extension to Piltown national school, Kinsale Beg, County Waterford, and requested the Commissioners of Public Works to prepare the contract documents. The commissioners have been asked to expedite the project as much as possible. It is not possible to say when work on the project may commence.

An extension to the site of the Clashmore national school, County Waterford, is necessary to accommodate the proposed building extension. The school authorities have been asked to furnish evidence of satisfactory title to the site extension. My Department following receipt of this evidence will be in a position to sanction a grant for the project and to allow the preparation of the contract documents to proceed. It is not possible at this stage to say when work may commence on the building.
