The person mentioned by the Deputy was recruited by the sponsoring organisation although he was not eligible under the conditions of the youth employment scheme because he was over 25 years of age and was not unemployed for a minimum of six months prior to the commencement of the scheme. As soon as this came to light, it was necessary for the Department to inform the organisation that the person concerned should be replaced by an eligible person.
