asked the Minister for the Environment the present position with regard to the application for a new house grant made four or five years ago by a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position with regard to the application for a new house grant made by persons (details supplied) in County Limerick; and the floor area of the house in question.

An application for a new house grant was refused in this case because the floor area of the house exceeds the maximum floor area allowable for grant purposes which is 125 sq. m. (1346 sq. ft.).

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a mortgage interest subsidy due to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and when payment will be paid.

There has been no undue delay in my Department in dealing with this case. The first instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be paid shortly.

580.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position with regard to the payment of a house improvement scheme grant to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

My Department are awaiting notification of completion of work so that an inspection can be arranged with a view to payment of the grant approved, if in order.
