asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction a scheme of houses for Adamstown, County Wexford, in view of the fact that many people in the surrounding areas are living in deplorable conditions.

On April 1985, my Department approved the proposals for a scheme of 16 houses at Adamstown, County Wexford, subject to minor modifications in respect of the layout. It is now a matter for Wexford County Council to invite tenders for the scheme.

asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the number of old people living in sub-standard conditions in the Fethard-on-Sea area of County Wexford, he will immediately give approval for the building of four old folks' homes.

Proposals for the building of old persons dwellings at Fethard-on-Sea were received from Wexford County Council on 4 April 1985. The examination of these proposals will be completed as soon as possible.
