asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will give details of the membership of each semi-State and State-sponsored body under his aegis including the names, period of appointment and remuneration to date, including all expenses and any other payment.

There are two State-sponsored bodies under the aegis of my Department. These are the Agency for Personal Service Overseas (APSO) and GORTA. The names of the members of the Council of APSO are: Mr. Donal O'Sullivan (Chairman); Ms. Dorothy Archer; Ms. Maureen Cloake; Ms. Joan Corkery; Dr. Frank Cremin; Mr. Desmond Doherty; Fr. Patrick Dundon, CSSP; Ms. Pauleen Eccles; Mr. Michael Fingleton; Ms. Helen Cole; Mr. Bill Harty; Dr. John Kevany; Mr. James Keogh; Sr. Margaret Ledwith; Mr. Nicholas Leonard; Mr. Michael Lynch; Rev. Terence McMullen; Mr. Kieran Mulvey; Lt.-Gen. Carl O'Sullivan; Fr. Tim O'Sullivan; Brendan Parsons, Earl of Rosse; Ms. Sheila Power; Rev. Fr. Richard Quinn, CSSP; Mr. Tim Ronan; Mr. David Rowe; Mr. Oliver Ryan; Dr. Patricia Strong; Ms. Angela Toohey.

O'Reilly; Mr. Kevin Higgins; Mr. R.A. Laird; Mrs. R. Madden; Mr. Michael E. Doherty; Mrs. Joanne Macken; Mr. E. O'Mahony; Mr. J. McDonnell; Mr. S. Ahearne; Mr. Michael Sinnott; Mr. P. Geoghegan; Mr. W.J. Harty; Mr. P. Donnelly; Mr. F. Cogan; Fr. B. Carbery; Mrs. M. Duff; Mr. Tom Martin; Mr. E. Kelly; Mrs. M. Shanahan; Mr. C. Temple; Fr. P. Dundon; Mr. S.Ó Síochaín; Ms. C. The period of appointment of the Council of APSO is three years. The period of appointment of the Board of GORTA is also three years.

No remuneration is paid to the members of the Council of APSO or the members of the Board of GORTA. Travel expenses are paid in the case of both organisations to members who live outside the Dublin area who travel to Dublin for meetings. In the case of GORTA these are met from GORTA's own funds.
