asked the Minister for Finance if the Commissioners of Public Works have yet made a recommendation or accepted a tender for the building of the proposed school at the Dominican Convent, Cabra, Dublin 7, for hearing-impaired children; and if a contract has yet been placed.

I propose taking Questions Nos. 601 and 602 together.

The Commissioners of Public Works have made a recommendation to the Department of Education on the tenders received for this proposed new school for hearing-impaired children at the Dominican Convent, Cabra. When the Department of Education's approval is received the manager of the school will be authorised to accept the recommended tender.
