My Department in December 1982, reviewed the accommodation needs of the Christian Brothers School, New Ross, County Wexford and decided not to grant-aid the extension of the school as enrolment prospects did not warrant this course. However, a scheme of improvements was agreed to and has since been grant-aided.
Following a recent request from the chairman of the school's board of management for grant-aid for further works to the school building my Department has requested the Commissioners of Public Works to report on the matter.
When the commissioners' report has been received and considered, my Department will be in touch with the chairman.
