asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in having a new house grant paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.
A new house grant cannot be paid until an inspection establishes that the house is complete and occupied and complies with all the other conditions of the grant scheme. When the final inspection was carried out the house was not occupied. However, arrangements have been made to have a further inspection carried out within the next two weeks.
