Vol. 358 No. 8

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

564.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he will pay a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The question of the approval of a grant does not arise at this stage because, contrary to a statutory condition of the scheme, a period of ten years has not elapsed since a previous grant was paid in respect of the house in question in 1977. The applicant has been advised of the position.

565.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a home improvement grant application will be approved for persons (details supplied) in County Laois.

Grants could not be allowed in respect of the provision of sewerage and bathroom facilities because, contrary to a statutory condition of the scheme the works had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. A grant of £600 has, however, been approved for the carrying out of works to the fabric of the house.
