On 11 August 1980 this applicant was approved for a project under the western drainage scheme, the work to be completed by 31 October 1982. The date for completion was subsequently extended to 30 September 1983 and when this deadline was not met the approval was cancelled on 20 October 1983. An inspection was carried out at applicant's request on 15 November 1983 and it was found that no unit of work had been completed which would qualify for grant aid.
