asked the Minister for the Environment if, in the interests of the safety of the mentally handicapped children and adults attending Cheeverstown House, he will approve the building of an overbridge on the dual carriageway currently under construction; and if he will ensure the preservation of the existing road so that it will form a buffer between the dual carriageway and the centre.

The road proposals developed by Dublin County Council provide for a light controlled pedestrian crossing at this location. However, arising from various representations received in my Department, the appropriateness of this form of pedestrian facility is being reviewed.
