(Limerick East): The relevant information for the years 1976 to 1983 in so far as it is available was furnished by me in reply to Question No. 294 of 28 June 1984.
The number of barring summonses issued in the District Court and the Circuit Court in the year ended 31 July 1984 was 3,478 and 140 respectively.
Statistics for all courts are compiled on the basis of the legal year, that is the year beginning on 1 August of one year and ending on 31 July of the next, and accordingly figures for the period 1 August 1984 to date are not available.
Has the Minister information available on a breakdown of the grounds for which barring orders were issued?
