Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 15, 16, 17, 8 and 9. By agreement it is proposed that statements be made now under the provisions of Standing Order 38 on the European Council in Milan, provided that no such statement shall exceed 20 minutes. Also by agreement the Dáil shall sit later than 9 p.m. today and not later than 12 midnight and business shall be interrupted at 11.30 p.m. Also by agreement the proceedings on Second Stage of the Farm Tax Bill, 1985, shall be brought to a conclusion not later than 6.45 p.m. today and the Minister for the Environment shall be called on to conclude not later than 6.25 p.m. Also by agreement the proceedings on the remaining Stages of the Designated Investment Funds Bill, 1985, shall be brought to a conclusion not later than 10 p.m. today by one question which shall be put from the Chair and which shall in relation to amendments include only amendments set down by the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism. Also by agreement, the proceedings on Second Stage of the Valuation Bill, 1985, shall be brought to a conclusion not later than 11.30 p.m. today. Private Members' Business shall be No. 82.

I am concerned only with today.

With your permission, Sir, I would like to give notice of my intention to raise on the Adjournment the question of overcrowding and serious conditions generally in St. Brendan's Hospital, Rathdown Road, which have led to industrial tension there.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy Keating.

I would like your permission to raise on the Adjournment the subject matter of the Private Notice Question which was disallowed, that was the proposed restrictive nature of the recently announced farm modernisation scheme grants payments held over from 1973.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy Leonard.

The Private Notice Question regarding Dublin Corporation's refusal to handle any inquiries or transactions with people who have not paid their water rates was not allowed by you, Sir, but I would like to raise it on the Adjournment.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy Brady.

With your permission, Sir, I propose to raise on the Adjournment tonight the apparent imminent sale of State lands in Killarney which were acquired in 1981 for the purpose of building Government offices thereon.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy O'Leary.

I would like to raise on the Adjournment, with your permission, the long delay of house inspections for grant purposes in County Cavan.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy Wilson.

I wish to raise on the Adjournment the need for a second level Irish school in the vocational system in the Ballymun area.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy Flaherty. I have been informed by the Taoiseach that it is proposed to make statements under Standing Order No. 38.
