I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's tax-free allowances for the current year, 1985-86, were reduced in error. An amended certificate restoring her full tax-free allowances was issued to her on 1 July 1985. The inconvenience to the taxpayer is regretted.
