asked the Minister for the Environment whether any contribution was paid to a co-operative (details supplied) in County Galway in respect of the extension of a group water scheme.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 40 and 41 together.
The Knock-Inverin group water scheme was completed in 1977 and the total financial aid paid to the group amounted to £138,474. Outline proposals for development work on the scheme to cater for increased membership have been submitted and are under examination in my Department. However, the eligibility of the proposed works for further grants cannot be determined until more detailed proposals, including a design for the scheme, are available and until it has been established that the proposed source is satisfactory.
