asked the Minister for Defence if he will award an increment to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5 for the period 8 March 1983 to 30 November 1983 as this person, who was a member of the Defence Forces, did not apply for or receive retirement pension for the period in question; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The additional increment in his Army service pension is being restored to the person referred to in the Deputy's question. The amount which had been withheld will be included in his July payment of pension.
